iForks , wireless weighing system for forklift trucks, now also available in Legal for trade version

RAVAS, The Mobile Scale Company, now offers a “Legal for trade” version of the iForks, the forklift scale that won the FLTA Innovation Award 2010. The completely wireless iForks may now be used for invoicing by weight in commercial transactions. iForks is OIML III certified under certificate number T2735 and was already NTEP certified for the American market.

The legal for trade certificate not only guarantees the accuracy of the weighing system, it also means that the weighing accuracy is independent from the location of the load centre on the forks, that iForks is not influenced by temperature changes, and that it’s not sensitive for electro magnetic emissions by data networks in the area where it operates.  


Alibi memory for wireless data communication
The Legal for trade version of the iForks is fit out with a digital level correction sensor which measures the tilt of the lift truck mast. It feeds this information to the software in the scale indicator, which corrects the weight for the tilt influences. The forklift driver no longer has to put the mast in vertical position in order to have an accurate weighing. The iForks weight indicator also has an alibi memory: all weightings are automatically saved and accessible for future reference, for example in case of disputes. The alibi memory also allows wireless data communication between iForks and a WMS or ERP-system, for example for invoicing by weight.
