Iphone app More search criteria and new languages added / App for other operating systems in the pipeline

(Berlin/Essen, 11 March 2011) DB Schenker Logistics has made tracking using the Apple iPhone even more convenient. Thanks to the new Version 2.0, customers can now use even more search criteria to track shipments, including all references entered at booking, such as the delivery note number and invoice number, as well as the air waybill and bill of lading. The version introduced in October 2010 enabled shipments to be tracked using the STT number. The search criteria have now been expanded.

“Through this innovation, we are making tracking even easier for our customers as well as creating added value,” says Peter Schumann, CIO, Schenker AG.

The new version, which is out now, can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple iTunes Store. It is currently available in German, English, Spanish, Chinese, Finnish and Polish. Translation into additional languages including Czech, Serbo-Croatian, Hungarian, Greek, Turkish, French, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese and Swedish is planned.

Mobile tracking will soon also be available for other operating systems such as Blackberry.
